Forrest Place Redevelopment – Stage 3B

March 2012 Onwards

Work started on the final stage of the Forrest Place redevelopment on Monday 26 March 2012 with completion expected by the end of October. Work to be completed over the seven months includes construction of an interactive water sculpture, new City of Perth information kiosk and new alfresco and seating areas; paving to the outer and sunken areas of Forrest Place and planting of new trees.

The first areas under construction are the western side of Forrest Place between the lower sunken area and the GPO building and between the Padbury Walk escalator and the Forrest Chase colonnade. This work involves the installation of new pavers and tactile paving and will take approximately six weeks with work being undertaken during the day and at night. During the work access to buildings will be maintained and 2.1 metre high protective hoarding will be in place.

Throughout stage 3B, the City of Perth will host monthly stakeholder meetings where members of the project team will be on-hand to provide the latest construction updates and answer any questions you may have.
